Our Baan JDBC Driver allows to query Baan systems and their databases directly from Java applications with standard SQL.
The driver uses the native Baan API to connect the server which makes it also possible to commuicate with T-BASE databases.
Architecture:
The Baan JDBC Driver is a class 2 driver which must be installed locally on the Baan server.
When using RMI bridges for JDBC (like the open-source projects VJDBC or RmiJdbc) the Baan system can also be reached from other machines using TCP/IP.
Baan JDBC features:
* No data replication - all tables are queried directly using the native Baan API
* Supports standard Baan SQL
* Complete support for metadata including all tables from the data dictionary and cross-references
